LetsTech delivered a fully managed connectivity solution for Parklife Festival, supporting one of the UK’s largest outdoor music events held annually in Manchester.
With a daily capacity of 80,000 attendees, the festival required robust, high-performance connectivity across a wide and complex site. Critical systems including cashless payments, ticket scanning, CCTV monitoring, production operations, and staff communications all relied on a stable and secure network.
LetsTech designed and deployed a scalable infrastructure to support multiple operational zones across the site, ensuring seamless connectivity before and throughout the event.

Delivering connectivity at Parklife presented several significant technical and logistical challenges.
The festival site spans a large outdoor area with no permanent network infrastructure, requiring a fully temporary solution to be designed and installed from the ground up.
At the same time, the network needed to support:
- High volumes of simultaneous transactions across hundreds of payment terminals
- Multiple independent networks for production, vendors, security, and operations
- Reliable real-time CCTV monitoring for safety and crowd management
- Consistent wireless coverage across busy and high-density areas
All of this had to be delivered within a tight installation window and operate reliably under peak load conditions.
Our Delivery
LetsTech implemented a robust, high-capacity network tailored to the scale and complexity of the event.
At the core of the solution was a 5km temporary fibre backbone, connecting key areas across the festival site and providing the foundation for fast, stable data transmission.
Building on this infrastructure, LetsTech deployed:
- 100+ wireless access points to deliver consistent site-wide WiFi coverage
- Dedicated networks for cashless payment systems, ensuring fast and reliable transactions
- Secure connectivity for ticket scanning systems, supporting efficient entry operations
- Network infrastructure for 30 CCTV cameras, enabling real-time monitoring
- Site-wide VoIP telephone systems, providing dependable communication for event staff and organisers
The entire network was carefully planned, installed, and tested ahead of the event, with ongoing technical oversight to ensure performance throughout.
Outcome
The solution delivered reliable, high-performance connectivity across the entire festival site, ensuring all critical systems operated without disruption. Cashless payment terminals performed seamlessly, even during peak demand, while CCTV systems remained stable to support continuous monitoring. Ticket scanning and entry systems functioned efficiently, and event teams maintained clear, dependable communication through VoIP.
